What is Email Composer?

Email Composer is a Google Workspace Add-on that lets you compose and send emails directly from the Gmail sidebar. It provides a simple form with To, Subject, and Body fields — no switching tabs, no extra steps.

How to use it?

Open the Email Composer sidebar panel within Gmail, fill out the destination email address, write your subject and message body, and click send to seamlessly deliver your mail.

Permissions this add-on requests

.../auth/userinfo.email & .../auth/userinfo.profile — Used automatically by Google to verify your identity and display your email address within the active session.
.../auth/gmail.addons.execute — Used solely to render and display the Email Composer user interface inside your Gmail sidebar panel.
.../auth/script.send_mail — Used solely to deliver the emails you explicitly write and send using the sidebar form. No other email data is ever accessed or read.
