Privacy Policy — Email Composer Add-on

1. Overview

Email Composer ("the Add-on") is a Google Workspace Add-on that allows users to compose and send emails from the Gmail sidebar. This policy describes what data the Add-on accesses and how it is handled.

2. Data the Add-on accesses

The Add-on accesses the following data solely to perform its core function:

• The email address, subject line, and message body you enter into the compose form
• Your Gmail account, to send the email on your behalf

3. How your data is used

The Add-on uses the information you provide exclusively to send the email you compose. It does not read your existing emails, contacts, or any other account data.

4. Data storage and retention

The Add-on does not store, log, or retain any user data. No information you enter is saved after the email is sent. No data is written to any external server or database.

5. Data sharing

We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to any third party for any purpose.

6. OAuth scopes used

• https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.email & https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.profile — Used automatically by Google to verify your identity and display your email address within the active session.
• https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.addons.execute — Used solely to render and display the Email Composer user interface inside your Gmail sidebar panel.
• https://www.googleapis.com/auth/script.send_mail — Used solely to deliver the emails you explicitly write and send using the sidebar form. No other email data is ever accessed or read.

7. Children's privacy

This Add-on is not directed at children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes to how we handle Google user data, we will notify users by placing a prominent notice within the Add-on sidebar user interface and updating the 'Last updated' date at the top of this page.
